LLU+ is setting up a Voluntary Sector ESOL Network for ESOL teachers and co-ordinators. The aim is to provide an opportunity for ESOL teachers and co-ordinators in the voluntary sector to meet, raise key issues and to take the discussion forward. The Network will do this by inviting relevant speakers, sharing examples of good practice and identifying appropriate training. LLU+ will support the continuing demand for ESOL curriculum training by supporting 25 teachers of asylum seekers to be trained in using the online curriculum and in the implementation of the ESOL curriculum.
TES will develop and disseminate a good practice guide on working with volunteers. This will include their experiences and feedback on engaging asylum seekers as volunteers and training and engaging volunteer ESOL tutors in their work.
